Week 13 – Reflection

What have I learned in this class?

At first, from this class, I learned use philosophical thinking to consider some problems. For example, when I know what ontology and epistemology are, I learned these two theories are unified, which means ontology determines epistemology, epistemology reflects the corresponding ontology. What kind of ontology you have what kind of epistemology you will get. When we do something, our thinking will affect our behaviors. Moreover, I also learned many research methods, such as secondary research, which is one of the most useful methods for investigation. The most impressed method in my mind is exploratory research because I do a presentation about this method in the class.  Observational research and experimental research are also used in my other courses’ report, which is a great of importance as well. Then, according to the assignment2, and some class practice. I learned how to find academic essays, and diverse angles to review this article. For example, think about whether this article is credible or why this article is reasonable. Additionally, according to this class, I am more confident about what topic in my Project. I ensured what I interested in the IT areas — VR. Lastly, I learned some ethical behaviors. And there are four points which people could to estimate, I really agree with it. 1. we should think about the social effect/values more than law. 2. Health and property protected. 3. Respect to each other, equal human being. 4. Evaluating what bad aspects would happen. According to these ways, we can determine whether the behaviors are ethical or unethical

What do I like about this course? (or don’t like)

Obviously, RES701 is pretty helpful for my next item’s courses. It will let me think about want I interested in in IT fields. In addition, this course environment is enjoyable and accessible. That’s the reason why I love this course. This course’s tutor is a patient and nice guy, which is also the reason I like this class.

I do not have any suggests in this class, probably tutor could remember all students names? LOL But I know, this situation is different.  😊
